Watching Jeff play baseball is my happy place. I love watching every practice and game. This year Jeff was picked to be on the Blue Jays in the Pinto League. He has done so well. They did great all season, only losing 2 games. The playoffs were this last week and we were busy with a game or practice every night. When it came down to the last two teams, it was the Blue Jays against the Padres. The Padres were undefeated all season, and were a really strong team. The first time we played them in the regular season, we lost 0-15. It was bad. But as fate would have it, we ended up battling them again. In the end, we had to play them twice back to back and win both games to be #1 and guess what!!!!! We did!!!!!!!!!! We were soooo the underdogs, but the Blue Jays worked hard and stomped the Padres. I wouldn've loved to see the reaction on all the other teams' faces when they all found out that Blue Jays beat the once undefeated Padres TWICE in the championship game. It was awesome. I think all us parents have ulcers now from watching the last two games.

Jeff alternates from Right Center to Pitcher. He played outfield for most of the game, but the last couple minutes of the final game they put him in to relieve the pitcher, who had bases loaded from walking. The stress of it all had gotten to him. There was one out, and we were up 6-3. Padres had last ups, so we had to hold them in order to win. Jeff struck out the batter, and the first baseman beat the next batter to the base. It was such a great ending!
In the dugout after the game. Love that smile!!!
Running the bases after the big wins
Way to go Blue Jays!!!!
Blue Jays #1 !!!!!!!
Now we're off to the State Tournament mid- July.
So proud of these boys and looking forward to more great baseball.
